The Skills Show is the UK’s biggest skills and careers event, shining a spotlight on the success that talented young people can find through various qualifications. It helps inspire the next generation about work-based learning.

Outstanding GCSE Results

Outstanding GCSE Results for LoK: 95%

Alhumdulillah, Lantern of Knowledge is celebrating a landmark year of GCSE results.

95% of our GCSE pupils attained 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Mathematics, with a high proportion of A and B grades.

These results are expected to be some way above local and national rates of attainment, as is the case with GCSE results for previous years.

Our staff, pupils and parents deserve a mention for their efforts.

Lantern of Knowledge win 2012 ams uk shield

Lantern of Knowledge Secondary School are the AMS UK Shield champions following a thrilling 3-2 win over fellow Londoners Jamiatul Ummah School in the tournament finale.

After progressing smoothly through the group stages, quarter and semi finals the team had a tough task ahead of them in the final. In an exhibition match, the final got underway.

Visit to BMW Mini Plant

Pupils from Years 10 and 11 travelled out to Oxford, to visit the BMW Mini Production Plant. Here, Mini cars are produced and further exported out to the continent. LoK pupils enjoyed a tour of the plant and a detailed Q&A session thereafter, with their expert tour guides John and Terry, both of whom were thoroughly impressed by the behaviour of the boys and concluded that their behaviour was a “benchmark” for other schools in the future.

Lantern of Knowledge pupils  took part in a guided detailed tour of the Houses of Parliament, consisting of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
